Testing and inspection options
After coating and a certain cooling phase, the substrates are removed from the holders and tested. Depending on requirements and customer wishes, we offer a range of measurements and testing options:
- Optical spectroscopy
- Reflectance and transmission measurements in the wavelength range 200 nm to 2500 nm
- Optical density up to approx. OD6
- Geometric measurements, tactile or with measuring projectors
- Specific tests and custom tests as well as measurements in customer facilities are available on request
Optical inspection
- Stereo light microscope
- Defect assessments and cleanliness tests of substrates and coatings
- 100% inspection before and after coating
Documentation
- Documentation / measurement protocol of the coating for each batch if required
- Storage of test specimens (‘witness pieces’) and, if necessary, original parts from each batch

- Climate and temperature change test
- Humidity up to 98% relative humidity or 100% condensation possible
- Storage at defined temperatures up to 400°C
- Customised cycles and duration of tests to customer requirements
- Shock test, temperature range -40°C to 90°C
- Adhesive strength
- Tesa test/tape test
- Cross-cut test
- Abrasion resistance
- Cheesecloth test
- Eraser abrasion test
- Further tests are available on request
