Mirror Coating
Mirror coatings are used for numerous different applications, whereby the specific requirements for the coating vary depending on the application, e.g. with regard to reflectivity. In most cases, metal-based coatings (metal mirrors) or dielectric coatings (dielectric mirrors) are used. Metal mirrors have a high degree of reflectivity across the entire visible spectrum. Dielectric mirrors (also known as dichroic mirrors) can be adjusted to specific spectral requirements and reflect light in different wavelength ranges in a defined manner.
