Center Wavelength

The center wavelength or central wavelength (CWL) is also known as the middle wavelength. In the case of a bandpass filter, CWL describes the wavelength for which the filter has been optimized. The CWL is used to specify the wavelength of the maximum transmission of a filter. This is the midpoint between the on-band wavelengths, where the transmittance is 50% of the maximum peak.
