Absorption Curve

Absorption refers to the process by which light is absorbed when it strikes a surface. The extent of absorption depends on factors such as the material, color, and frequency of the light. As light interacts with any substance, it loses energy. The absorption curve, or absorption spectrum, describes the proportion of incident radiation absorbed by the material across a specific frequency range. This spectrum is influenced by the atomic and molecular composition of the material.
